The IU School of Medicine's Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) is here to support and advocate for postdocs across the School, regardless of appointment type (appointee or fellow) or department (basic science or clinical). The mission of the OPA is "to enhance the postdoctoral experience at IUSM and foster the professional development of our postdoctoral researchers through resource development, career related programming, and advocacy." The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs is part of the IU School of Medicine's Graduate Division, part of Research Affairs. Both the Director of the OPA and the Associate Dean of the Graduate Division are here to work with postdocs and mentors to ensure that the postdoc experience at the IU School of Medicine is the best one possible.
